Kose no Sakaimaro (巨勢堺麻呂)

KOSE no Sakaimaro (date of birth unknown - May 9, 761) was a noble of the Nara period. His main name was KOSE no Asomi. His home ground was Kose-go, Takaichi-gun, Yamato Province. He was a great-grandchild of Kose no Tokuta, who was Daishu (the third grade of nineteen grades of cap rank, which corresponds to Shonii, Senior Second Rank of Taiho Ritsuryo, Taiho Code) and Sadaijin (minister of the left) of the Naniwa Court. Sakaimaro was a son of KOSE no Koji, Jugoi (Junior Fifth Rank). Sakaimaro was adopted to his uncle, KOSE no Oji, Chunagon (Middle Counselor). Sakaimaro was appointed to Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank), Sangi (councillor), and Sadaiben (major controller of the left) and Shimousa no kuni no kami (Governor of Shimousa Province).
